Bury St. Edmunds (14/3)

The Circuit's Mission is "to live and share the Good News of God's Love in Christ"

"Praying for all our Key Workers".

The Circuit covers some five hundred square miles of rural mid Suffolk, stretching from Needham Market in the east, taking in Stowmarket as you travel west, across to the Cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds and then down to Sudbury. Delightful, picturesque villages can be found on the minor roads throughout the area which makes travelling through the countryside a pleasure. Ten churches make up the Circuit, one of which, Christchurch in Needham Market, is a united URC/ Methodist congregation. From large town centre churches to smaller village chapels the Circuit seeks to give expression to our calling as worshipping, serving, outward looking, and caring communities.

The Superintendent Minister of the Circuit is Revd Deborah Borda.

The Circuit has its own website http://www.burystedmundsmethodistcircuit.org.uk

The Circuit Administrator is Adrian Romano.

What's On in Bury St Edmunds Circuit: -

Owing to the current coronavirus situation, all Sunday services and other activities taking place in our Circuit churches have been suspended in accordance with guidelines from the Connexion.

However, we are producing a weekly newsletter (see below), which you can click on and download.

It is important that, as a Circuit, we can continue to keep in communion with one another as members of the body of Christ.

Ready for Posting 2

Here we see some of over 100 newsletters and worship sheets ready for posting to those church members who are not on email!

We are producing a weekly worship sheet for everybody.  We hope that you will all use it on a Sunday morning at 10:00am, so that as a Circuit we will be worshipping together.  We can therefore draw on the strength of that knowledge as we hold the current situation in prayer.  All are Welcome to join us in worship using these resources in your own homes.  Please click on the link to download for your own use.

From Easter Sunday, we have been recording, so that you can join our Circuit for Sunday worship at 10:30am, or a time of your choosing!  Please click on the link to Trinity Methodist Church website for details.

Thought for the Day

From Wednesday 22nd April we introduced a "Thought for the Day" from our Local Preachers and Supernumerary Ministers.  This will be on a theme of their choice on every day of the week except Sundays.  Please click on the link below.

There is also a Children's & Young People's Page on the Circuit website, with details on how to do Messy Church at Home!
